Vortex
Spring produces 28 million gallons of gin clear water daily at a year-round
temperature of 68
Student training platforms are provided for instruction at the 20-foot level along with a "talk box," (a large inverted container anchored to a concrete base providing air space for conversation). The spring basin is 50 feet deep at the mouth to a beautiful ledge-like cavern. There are two artificial caves, open at both ends, providing training and fun for divers who are not yet cavern/cave certified. River catfish, harmless American Freshwater Eels , Redhorse Suckers, and a school of very rare, exotic "Shadow Bass" will be your constant companions. There is no thermocline as this water flows directly from the aquifer.
Vortex Springs is easy access, located just 50 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico in 420 acres of rolling hills and majestic pines. This playground is only five miles north of Exit 96 on Interstate I-10 (#15 on maps printed before 2002).
Since there is no current, the springs provide an excellent venue for certification dives.

Blue Water SCUBA Park (BWSP) is a freshwater-filled rock quarry, completely converted for SCUBA enthusiasts. The operators have sunk a school bus, a sailboat, an old truck and some other interesting objects just for divers.
Since
there is no current and a platform on which certification exercises can
take place, the quarry provides an excellent venue for certification dives.

Bonaire's claim to diving fame lies in
its incredible shore diving opportunities. The town pier in Bonaire is annually
rated by many dive publications to be the best night dive in the world. Scuba
Diving magazine each year has its readers rate the "Top 100". Bonaire has
received the number one voted Caribbean for: Top Caribbean Destination, Top
Caribbean Shore Diving, Top Marine Life, Top Beginner Diving, Top Underwater
Photography and Top Advanced Diving for the past 12 years. (Scuba Diving
Magazine January 2010).
Bonaire's unique coral reef system offers visiting divers many opportunities for
diving from shore as well as from a boat. Most experienced divers consider
Bonaire to be one of the most consistently spectacular dive destinations in the
world. And for good reason, as there are almost no "non-diving" days -- and that
goes for night diving, too.
Bonaire's reefs are remarkably well preserved as all the local reef systems have
been totally protected as a Marine Park since 1979. Almost all shore dives in
Bonaire begin in shallow water, from 10 feet to 20 feet, continuing to the edge
of a typically sloping, sometimes vertical wall, which drops off to 120 feet or
more..
